Migrate Windows 10 to SSD

By | January 4, 2017

Situation: I bought a new SSD and I wanted to migrate my OS (windows 10) onto it from my HDD, the HDD is 4 years old and is using up 620GB of storage out of 700GB. The SSD is 500GB so a transfer of all files wouldn’t be possible. I wanted to know if it would work if I were to use the windows 10 recovery reset tool and fresh install Windows 10 onto my SSD and if I would be able to keep the other files on my HDD if I selected the keep my files option.

Summary: In general, if you want to migrate your Windows operating system like Windows 10 to SSD, you can try using MiniTool Partition Wizard.
